How to Reprogram Fiat 500L Remotes Key Fobs Yourself
Key fobs, also known as keyless entry remotes, are useful in controlling your car's locks, trunk, panic alarm and even remote starter from hundreds of feet away. These remotes are wirelessly programmed to your vehicle and can be reprogrammed as often as you would like if the signal is lost or if you need a replacement remote. Reprogramming takes only seconds and will have your remote ready to use immediately.
Enter your vehicle with your remote and ignition key and close all of the doors behind you.
Turn the car to the "On" position, press the "Lock" button on your fob and turn the key back to the "Off" position.
Repeat Step 2 three more times, for a total of four cycles, and end with the key in the "On" position during the fourth cycle.
Wait for the locks to sound. You have now entered programming mode. Press the "Lock" button on your remote again within five seconds. The locks will cycle again to indicate successful programming.
Press "Lock" again on any additional remotes within 10 seconds of entering programming mode to program these remotes as well. The locks will cycle after each successfully programmed remote. You can program up to three remotes.
Turn the ignition back to the "Off" position to end the programming sequence.
